Circular economy for the built environment

Refittr

Refittr is where demolition contractors, developers and property businesses buy and sell fixtures and fittings that would otherwise end up in skips and landfill.

Two sides, one marketplace

Clearing a site?

Invite only

Every strip-out sends thousands of pounds of usable kitchens, plumbing, flooring and joinery to landfill. List what you're pulling out on Refittr and sell it to buyers who need it. Lower your skip costs. Hit your sustainability targets. Get paid for stock you were paying to throw away.

Seller accounts are currently by invitation during our pilot. Get in touch to register your interest.

Sourcing for one?

Refitting properties at scale is expensive, and new fixtures have a carbon cost you're increasingly being asked to justify. Refittr gives you a supply of second-hand fixtures and fittings at a fraction of retail, with dimensions listed upfront so you know what you're buying before you commit.

How fit works on Refittr

Every listing on Refittr comes with the measurements that matter. Kitchen runs, bathroom fixtures, door sizes, floor areas. No guessing from a grainy photo.

For stock going from or to standardised new-builds or modern homes, Refittr goes further. We hold the floor plans for thousands of UK new-build house types, and listings from those houses are automatically matched against buyers whose properties share the same specification. When it's a match, you see a green badge and you know it fits.

For everything else (older housing, conversions, commercial buildings, one-off refurbs) buyers check the listed dimensions against their own. Add your properties to your portfolio, enter the rooms you're refitting, and Refittr surfaces the stock that suits.

Who it's for

Refittr was built for the people who move property fixtures at scale.

  • Demolition contractors clearing residential sites and wanting to recover value from strip-outs
  • Developers and housebuilders managing stock across multiple sites
  • HMO operators and landlords refitting units between tenants
  • Housing associations maintaining large portfolios of similar properties
  • Anyone sourcing interior domestic and commercial fittings without paying retail. Electrical contractors, HVAC specialists, plumbers and more.

The waste problem

Good usable fixtures and fittings don't belong in a skip.

The UK generates 1.6 million tonnes of bulky waste every year. A large proportion of that is in perfect working order: kitchens two years old, bathrooms with barely a scratch, flooring lifted whole. Most of it goes to landfill for one reason: there was no efficient way to connect the people stripping it out with the people who could use it.

Refittr is the connection.
